Patricia lives with her parents at her grandmother’s residence. Her parents fail to make a decent income in the rural village through small scale farming and other odd jobs they can find. Her grandmother tries to make ends meet but she is now to old and frail to keep up with the daily needs of the family. They depend on the farming that her children do but it does not always yield much harvest.
