Maureen Mweemba – LSZ(T)-022

My name is Maureen Mweemba.  I am 16 years old and was born on the 18^th of November 2002.  I am living in John Howard, Lusaka.  I am an orphan.  My mother died in 2013 and dad in 2011.  I am the third born of seven children, five sisters and one brother. Our grandmother who is unemployed is raising my siblings and me. As a family we face a lot of challenges when it comes to eating and school, my grandmother is incapable of providing and sponsoring me to school.  I should be in grade 10 but due financial problems, I have not been able to continue in school. I worked as a maid so I could write my grade nine exam.   In 2017 at Kamulanga primary school I was able to write my grade 9 and I passed!  If I had financial assistance I could concentrate on school without worrying about how I will survive the following day.  Thank you for considering to sponsor me back to school.
