Hi! My name is Taonga; I usually stay home alone when my mother goes to work, my neighbors come once in a while to check on me or I go and play with my friends and come home later when my older brother comes back from school. Taonga is the last child of four children in her family. She lost her dad to a short illness when she was three. Her widowed mother works as a maid but barely earns enough to sustain their upkeep throughout the month. Taonga should be in the third grade this year; unfortunately her mother cannot afford her education so she has not yet started school.
